Our Board of ELDERS
My wife and I have been at the Summit about twenty years, and have been involved in various
ministries. I have taught adult Sunday School, worked with Pastor Brian in College Ministry, volunteered with the youth, and Lesley and I have both been active in AWANA and missions. We feel that God has placed us at the Summit to serve, and are excited to see what He has in store for this church.
Dan was born in Boise and has been blessed to have spent the vast majority of his life working and raising his family here. He has been a part of the Summit Church family for 20 years and has been serving on the Elder Board since 2009.
Dan has been married to his beautiful wife Judi for 35 years, with a blended family that includes three grown children and eight grandkids. Ministry activities include serving in AWANA's, facilitating a home Bible Study group and volunteering with the local City Ministry Team for the "Family Life Marriage Getaway" that is held in Boise each spring.
Dan was part of a four man mission team in 2013 that had the privilege of installing a solar power system at a pastors training center in Kicongo, a remote village in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa.... A trip that changed him forever.
Dan is always looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors with his family. Usually by fly fishing, big game hunting or chasing birds with his dog Jack.
My name is Taylor Easterday. I am husband to Lisa (whom many of you know), and the father of two
Christian young men. I am an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. I enjoy playing guitar for our worship team, and look forward to continuing my service at the Summit.
I have been serving the church as a board member since early 2007, and as treasurer since 2010.
I was born and raised in Eastern Oregon, graduating from high school and obtaining my college degree while working full time. I am now retired after concluding a career of over 46 years with Boise Cascade and its successors, working in various accounting and financial positions in Oregon, Louisiana, Mexico and finally in Boise.
I presently serve on the board of Mission Northwest (the Northwest Region of the American Baptist Church), and also on the board of a small non-profit Christian publishing company.
My wife, Nora and I have been involved in financial ministries since about 2005, first by facilitating Crown Financial Ministries studies and then by coordinating Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University classes. Up to this point we have seen some 20 classes and over 300 people introduced to life-changing biblical financial concepts and instruction.
Nora and I are blessed with 12 grandchildren. Nora recently retired, as well, and we look forward to more opportunities to spend time with them. We intend to stay active, and are now enjoying travel, fishing, hiking, kayaking, camping – pretty much anything outdoors.
Kevin and his wife, Stephanie have been married for 31 years and have attended the Summit for 24 years. Kevin has served as a church musician, children’s and adult Sunday school teacher, Elder, Awana leader and director, and small group leader. He and Stephanie have served as co-teachers for kids and served on a mission trip to Joplin, after the 2011 tornado, to assist with cleanup. They both have a heart for the local refugee/immigrant population.
Kevin is the Executive Director for the Boise Public Library system. Stephanie serves as a staff member for the Learning Lab, Inc., a local non-profit that helps educate refugees and immigrants and Boise citizens who desire English language instruction and need assistance in earning their GED. Kevin’s life verse is Philippians 1:6, "For I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus," which reminds him that our Christian walk is a continuous journey and, God has a plan for all of us.
