"The Questions of Christmas" - John 3:16-21

  1. In what way does John 3:16 fulfill the promise of a Savior given to Joseph in Matthew 1:21?
  2. How does John 3:16 fulfill the good news given to the shepherds in Luke 2: 8 – 20?
  3. Why did God send Jesus into the world according to John 3:17? 
  4. Why would anyone resist the loving gift of a Savior?  Check out John 3: 19 – 21.  For further thought check out Romans 1: 18 – 32.
  5. What does it mean that God so loved the world?  Why do you think God loves the world? Why do you think God loves you?
  6. Why is Jesus birth such a concrete proof of God's love for us? 
  7. How does the "whosoever" in John 3:16 agree with the promises made concerning Jesus in Matt.1:21 and Luke 2: 10 – 11?
  8. How does John 3:16 help us more fully understand John 1:12?  How does John 1:12 help us more fully understand John 3:16?
