Summit Awana Provides Small Groups for Kids

At The Summit Church we believe that participating in small groups is an important part of growing in our faith. Now it's obvious that kids need to grow physically and emotionally. But they need to grow spritually too. Small groups are like greenhouses for growing in faith. Along these lines, we don't just offer mid-week small groups for grown-ups, but for kids too, in the form of their grade-level groups at Summit Awana.

These groups have the same leaders every week, and the kids study Bible stories and memorize verses together (just like an adult smalll group would do). They also get to share life and pray together (just like an adult smalll group would do).

All of this is combined fun and energy with games, singing, a store, special service projects, and dress-up nights.

We have the following clubs (i.e. subsections of Awana):

Cubbies—Ages 3-5
Sparks—K-2nd Grade
Truth & Training—3rd-6th Grade

Students above 6th Grade are invited to help serve in Summit Awana and go through the Trek & Journey books.

Volunteer with Summit Awana

Summit Awana is one of the strongest and most vibrant teams at The Summit Church. If you're looking to get involved, you won't regret choosing this team. And the best part is that there's roles for every personality type, commitment level, and skill-set. From interacting with kids one-on-one, to managing social media, to paperwork, to games, to just listening to kids say verses, and more, you'll find a spot that fits.

Volunteering with minors at The Summit Church requires a background check, reference, and interview.

Summit Kids doubles as a fully integrated children’s ministry for both churches that meet in our building: the English speaking congregation (The Summit Church) and the Swahili speaking congregation (Shouts of Grace for All Nations).
